Speed Dating For Swingers

Speed dating is a fun way to quickly sort through people you’re interested in, and people you’re not, in a face-to-face rapid-fire setting.

What I’d love to see is a swinger club put together a speed dating event for swingers. Both couples and singles in the lifestyle, looking for a fun and possibly exciting night, would be able to sign up.

Set up a bunch of tables, at least half the number of tables as the number of swingers present.

Get a hat and put a chit into it for the number of tables you have. Pass around the hat and let people find out what table they’re going to start at. Then let the half without a table pick a chit to see who their first conversation will be with.

Set a timer for 5 minutes, and when it goes off, the table host stays seated and the table visitor moves on.

If a participant in the speed dating finds someone that they chatted with was interesting, they’d be able to let the host know, who’d be able to arrange a conversation later on.

Throw in some music at a decently low volume that doesn’t prevent conversation, some door prizes and a few snacks – and I think that’d be a damn fun time.

Swinger Anxiety – An Effective Way To Treat It

Let’s Define Anxiety and Swinger Anxiety

Swinger anxiety is a real thing. Swinging can be a stressful activity in general. People in the lifestyle are often concerned with the whole social process of meeting new people. Sometimes swingers have anxiety about about themselves or their appearance.

Anxiety has been a slice of the spectrum of human behavior for a long time, and it probably isn’t going away anytime soon. It’s a survival mechanism, after all, telling you that everything is not quite right around you and something bad may happen.

Most people experience some form of temporary anxiety, it’s totally normal. The problem comes when temporary anxiety becomes pervasive. It can easily evolve to the most common form of anxiety – Generalized Anxiety Disorder. According to the Mayo Clinic, temporary anxiety is generally considered to have turned into General Anxiety Disorder when you experience three or more of the following symptoms on a regular basis for 6 months:

  • Feeling nervous, restless or tense
  • Having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom
  • Having an increased heart rate
  • Breathing rapidly (hyperventilation)
  • Sweating
  • Trembling
  • Feeling weak or tired
  • Trouble concentrating or thinking about anything other than the present worry
  • Trouble sleeping before the expected event
  • Having difficulty controlling worry
  • Regular urge to avoid things that trigger anxiety

Generalised Anxiety in the Swinger lifestyle is most likely to be classified as “social anxiety.”

Nonclinically, you can also think of Generalized Anxiety Disorder as having a really hard time getting that voice in the back of your head to shut up before a social occasion.

How Is Swinger Anxiety Usually Treated?

Most people in the lifestyle who suffer swinger anxiety will go to their doctor and ask for something to treat “social anxiety.” If you go to your doctor and get diagnosed with one of the anxiety disorders they’ll usually prescribe drugs called benzodiazepines to treat the problem. One of them is oazepam. Oazepam is a fast-acting benzodiazepine with the super-fun side effects like clumsiness, daytime drowsiness, a feeling of whirling motion and headaches, most of which will make your swinger activities a lot less fun. Those side effects, combined with the fact that benzos can be extremely addictive, make it last resort for treating anxiety.

So Anxiety Drugs Aren’t Optimal, What Is?

Passionflower - an effective way to treat swinger anxiety
Passionflower

If you’re having a problem with swinger anxiety, try passionflower. It’s been used to treat anxiety and other disorders for at least a couple hundred years, and science has backed up the herbalist claims.

A study published in the Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics revealed that passionflower is as effective as oazepam.

  • In this double-blind randomized trial, a group of people diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder were divided into two groups.
  • Group one was given 45 drops of passionflower extract plus 1 placebo tablet (tricky scientists) per day for 28 days.
  • Group two was given oazepam, 30 mg per day, plus placebo drops for 28 days.
  • Each member was assessed by a psychiatrist at days 4, 7, 14, 21, and 28 for their anxiety symptoms using the HAM-A.

The Results

Passionflower and oazepam were judged to have the same effectiveness at lessening the symptoms of anxiety. But since passionflower has much less severe side effects, it’s pretty easy to see that the pharmaceutical remedy isn’t the best one. In addition to the significant addiction risk, the oazepam group reported job impairment from the side effects of the drug the next day. The passionflower group didn’t experience this.

Passionflower is, as the study concluded, “a significant improvement over benzodiazepines in the management of GAD especially when drug-induced impairment of job performance is to be avoided.”

Where, When, How to Use Passionflower

  • Passionflower extract can be found at most health food stores or you can pick it up pretty cheaply online. There are two types of extracts: one is alcohol based and the other is glycerin based if you want to avoid alcohol. The study used an alcohol-based extract, but glycerin is comparable in efficacy.
  • Any time anxiety rears its ugly head, you can treat it with passionflower. Try Passionflower for anxiety right before a swinger party or a social gathering. Just be aware that it will mellow you. Passionflower is especially beneficial when taken before bed for the above reason. It will shush that voice that always seems to wake up right as you want to wind down.
  • The study used 45 drops per day. However, you can adjust the dose to your own needs. Generally, one “serving”= 1 ml of extract or 20-30 drops. It’s possible to take that dose up to three times a day.

R-Place Swinger Club Moving To West Omaha

R-Place, one of the premier Swinger Lifestyle locations in the Midwest, has announced that they’re going to move from their current location in South Omaha to “West Omaha” according to Rob Grant’s post on Facebook.

Some have speculated that the new location for the R-Place swinger club will be next to Club Omaha, another private club that recently moved to a 120th and West Center location. Club Omaha offers nude dancing, and is currently in dispute with the City of Omaha about whether adults should be allowed to drink in a private business while naked girls dance and create a unique atmosphere. Most people don’t care what adults do with consenting adults, but the people who don’t like it are quite powerful in Omaha and seem to get their way most of the time.

R-Place has been a wonderful location for Omaha swingers to hang out, meet others in the lifestyle and have some sexy fun. It has not gone without it’s own mentions in the local news, but has been deemed as a legal operation by local authorities. It’s a shame that the South Omaha location will no longer be utilized as a swinger club as it seemed like a very large, appropriately-sized building with a great layout for swinger parties.

From the Omaha World Herald:

City Attorney Paul Kratz said the city has known about R-Place for some time. Kratz said he and City Prosecutor Matt Kuhse determined that the establishment wasn’t violating any laws. “We concluded there was nothing illegal going on that we were aware of or that we could determine,” Kratz said.

Facebook Censors Swingers

Facebook censors swingers now. They’ve been doing it for a while, but lately they’ve really been cracking down.

So Krazy Kasbh finally had to set their Facebook group to only allow posts to be published that admins approve of. Too many people were posting sexually explicit content, attracting the notice of Facebook’s banhammer and thereby threatening the existence of the group itself.

The only surprise is that it took this long.

The Facebook updated Community Standards flat out state that anything that even hints at or mentions sexuality. That includes sexualized banter, anything above PG language, legal sex work, organizing sexually-oriented community events or even private groups related to non-normative sexuality.

According to the new Community Standards, you can’t even engage in private messenger talk about hooking up.

Reason wrote about this late last year, after Tumblr killed the porn posters there.

Just a few days after Tumblr announced that it would ban all pornography, Facebook has pulled the proverbial hold my beer with its new “Sexual Solicitation” policy.

Facebook will now “restrict sexually explicit language”—because “some audiences within our global community may be sensitive to this type of content”—as well as talk about “partners who share sexual interests,” art featuring people posed provocatively, “sexualized slang,” and any “hints” or mentions of sexual “positions or fetish scenarios.”

Reason.com – December 6, 2018

Kole quickly pushed his MeWe group as an alternative, so members can post their pics free of censorship. Because Facebook censors swingers, it’s up to us to provide swingers with an alternative method of communicating. Why support a social network that doesn’t support you?
